take your mask off and show who you really are

“Journey Behind the Mask” aims to use theater as a support tool during the challenging pre-adolescent and adolescent developmental stages of our patients.

It is intended to be a vehicle for exploring and understanding one’s own body in order to, in a sense, reclaim it—bringing its expressive and relational possibilities to the forefront rather than the heavy “mask” of illness.

Psychological support before, during, and after the communication of a diagnosis is essential for processing the fears of death, depressive elements, anxiety, and anger that accompany our children.
