di:<\/p><p>microrganismi patogeni; comunit\u00e0 microbiche quali il microbiota dell\u2019intestino umano; artropodi vettori di malattie infettive; microrganismi utilizzabili come piattaforme vaccinali o come fonte di post-biotici ad azione immunomodulante.<\/p><p>Nello specifico, la studio dei microrganismi patogeni viene effettuato con metodologie genomiche con lo scopo di ricostruire pattern di diffusione e focolai epidemici, e di identificare fattori di virulenza e patogenicit\u00e0.<\/p><p>Le indagini sul microbiota hanno lo scopo di evidenziare l\u2019associazione e l\u2019eventuale ruolo di determinate componenti del microbiota stesso nella genesi di alterazioni patologiche.<\/p><p>In ambito entomologico, lo studio sugli insetti vettori (in particolare zanzare) ha il duplice scopo di monitorare la presenza di specie coinvolte nella trasmissione di patogeni all\u2019uomo, e di sviluppare nuove metodologie di controllo.<\/p><ul><li><a ricerca relative allo studio delle malattie rare interessandosi di quelle metaboliche e di quelle neurologiche.\u00a0<\/p><p>Le attivit\u00e0 sono focalizzate allo studio dei meccanismi patogenetici coinvolti nelle condizioni sopra indicate utilizzando modelli cellulari primari derivanti da tessuto, iPSC e linee cellulari.<\/p><p>Il gruppo \u00e8 multidisciplinare e vede la presenza di biologi, obiettivo indispensabile per colmare il divario tra la ricerca di base e l&#8217;applicazione clinica in chirurgia pediatrica. \u00a0<\/p><p>In particolare, vengono ricercati i meccanismi molecolari utili nelle terapie rigenerative delle patologie malformative congenite.<\/p><p>Il gruppo pu\u00f2 offrire un supporto completo per la traduzione dei risultati della ricerca di laboratorio in
